QUARANTINE  

Here’s a film from 2008 that is worth a viewing. A news reporter and her camera man are on assignment to shadow a Fire Engine company, when a routine medical visit turns macabre, the whole building is actually quarantined from the rest of the world. Now, it’s up to a small group of people to try and to escape the building and the murderous inhabitants inside. This is actually a remake of a Spanish horror movie called “REC.” I have never seen that film, but I’ll comment on this film. I did like it as it did entertain me for the evening, however my major complaint is that the film was just way too dark and the Camera work was way to annoying for my taste (The Cameraman is our camera work). This is in between the very exciting BLAIR WITCH PROJECT to the banal and disappointing CLOVERFIELD. It’s a good solid rental but as a whole it’s kind of forgettable, the story isn’t there and when the action starts to happen the film is practically over.
