TAXI DRIVER

I need to go into the films that I think are great for cinema, TAXI DRIVER is one of them.

Scorcese being one of the best directors of our time delivers one of the best character studies ever put on celluloid. Robert Deniro plays Travis Bickle, a Vietnam vet who has bad ideas in his head. Bickle needs to keep his mind occupied as it is eluded that he’s suffering from mental stress of his honorable discharge. The film is virtual fun house of characters that interact with the mentally disturbed Bickle, and Bickle categorizing, narrating and planning to clean up not only his mind but also the dirty city that he lives in.

This film has great performances from Deniro, Harvey Keitel, Cybil Sheppard, Peter Boyle and a very young Jodi Foster. With a great visual design by a great director and a legendary score by Bernard Hermann, this film is an instant classic and a must-see for all film buffs.

As a joke I found this recut trailer that is good for a laugh, watch the FILM, watch the first trailer, then watch this recut trailer
