Hello, my name is Carl and I’m a film purist. I’m not trying to start any new club or a revolution. I am just someone who feels that some original films should stay original and not be remade. I am commenting about a current trend that is happening in Hollywood today; REMAKE MANIA. It seems today in modern cinema it doesn’t matter what genre of film; we have to update and almost erase the original film. My crusade is to hunt down these films and expose them for what they are: not creative, formulaic and down right pointless and forgettable. I will be merciless as I’m trying to send a clear message to the Hollywood studios that there are WRITERS still out there waiting to get published. My further point is that I don’t believe the American public is that ignorant that they wouldn’t be excited at a piece of work that would stimulate the mind rather than the senses. I welcome all discussion of films young and old and anybody who wants to challenge me with an INTELLIGENT discussion/argument with film I will encourage to do so.
